Resilience – key to more quality for work and life

theme No.: 12b
responsible federal state: Bremen
date: 27.03.2023 - 31.03.2023

The conference addresses judges in all branches of law and prosecutors.
Thick files, full department, psychologically stressful procedural situations, aggressive participants, double burden of family and job - a high psychological durability is more important than ever to maintain the personal balance, to keep physically and mentally healthy and to find joy in ones work.
Neuroscientific research has shown that there are resources in every person the so-called “resilience factors”, to increase their mental resistance, which can be strengthened and trained. They are a key competence in order to reduce pressure in stressful situations, to be able to distance oneself better, to recognize one's own limitations and to approach tasks in an optimistic and solution-focused way.
The aim of the conference is to increase the participants' awareness of these competences, giving them the opportunity to track them down and utilize them for their own lives.
The referees - experienced psychologists, psychotherapists or health educators of the “Leibniz-Institut für Resilienzforschung ” (German Resilience Center) at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz - will discuss the following contents:
  • What is resilience?
  • What are resilience factors and how do I use them?
  • How can I strengthen my resilience factors?
  • Where can I integrate resilience into my personal life?
The topic will be developed in lectures and discussions.
