The conference is aimed at judges at the civil courts involved in patent disputes, and at judges from the Federal Patent Court.
The aim of the conference will be to give participants the opportunity to take an in-depth look at current legal issues on both a national and European level. Alongside presentations from specialists on relevant topics from current practice, such as the Unified Patent Court (UPC) beginning its work, and on the measures taken to implement the 2nd Patent Law Modernisation Act (2. Patentrechtsmodernisierungsgesetz) and its effects, there will be discussions with representatives from different Patent Courts on various approaches and views on matters.

The conference will also be advertised as part of the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN). It will be very well suited to the needs of participants from abroad who are involved with matters governed by patent law.
