The conference addresses civil judges who have just recently begun dealing with state and governmental liability law as well as compensation proceedings.
The basics and the systematics of this area of law are introduced by reviewing cases from higher appellate courts. Also, the fundamental issues of general compensation and liability law will be discussed as well as procedural questions.
There will be an emphasis on:

• Basics and general principles of state, governmental and compensation law (including statutory EU state liability claims)
• Liability for sources of danger and risks (in general, on the road, winter service)
• Duties of advisors and consultants
• Compensation and damages in the health sector (especially in times of a pandemic)
• Procedural issues and peculiarities in state and governmental liabilities as well as compensation proceedings
