Effectively Hearing a Case: Communication Analysis for Civil Judges

The conference is aimed at civil judges. It comprises an intense negotiation training for all participants individually and within changing groups with the following goals:

• How to hear a case in the best possible way – training proper communication in the courtroom by role plays and mock trials
• Performing in a poised way, arguing persuasively, convincing individually and motivating
• Integrating rhetoric standards into language and body language - with video feedback
• Detecting disturbances on an early stage and reacting in an adequate way
• Target-oriented comparative discussions, grasping opportunities and making determined use of them
• Sharpening the awareness for a good investment-benefit ratio
• Respecting and preserving one’s own resources.

The participants willingness to actively participate in rhetoric exercises is a prerequisite for the success of the seminar.
