Expression and Persuasiveness Through the Optimum Use of the Voice in the Courtroom (Basic course)

theme No.: 35d
responsible federal state: Thuringia
date: 05.11.2023 - 10.11.2023

The seminar is aimed at judges of all jurisdictions, as well as at prosecutors.
Persuasiveness requires not only factual competence, but also rhetorical skills. However, around 38% of the effects of speech depend on the manner of speaking. In order to make an unscripted speech as effective as possible, it must be presented in the right vocal and speech quality. Not every speaker is born with a sufficiently powerful, melodious voice. Large court rooms are often extremely challenging for the voice. However, the optimum use of the voice can be learnt. This is what this seminar is about. It also examines the vocal connection with the room and with the listeners, and the individual power of expression and persuasiveness of the participants.
