theme No.: 32c
responsible federal state: Lower Saxony
date: 15.10.2023 - 20.10.2023

The conference is aimed at judges from all jurisdictions who are not (yet) active as conciliation judges within the meaning of Section 278 (5) ZPO and who are interested in the use of mediating elements in judicial practice.
The event can also serve to refresh existing knowledge.
The following learning content is taught:
  • Interdisciplinary basics
  • Principles of communication
  • Individual means of communication
  • The principles and phases of mediation
  • Other topics (competences of lawyers, working with hypotheses, dealing with emotions, etc.).
The conference is organized by experienced judges, taking into account the psychological background. In particular, lectures, group work and role plays are planned. The participants are involved interactively through the use of methods from classic communication training. The individual communication techniques are practiced extensively. The willingness to participate in role-playing games is therefore a prerequisite for attending the conference.
