The conference is aimed at judges dealing with guardianship issues who already have professional experience in that field.
Particularly the following topic complexes shall be treated in lectures and discussions:

• Current case law
• Questions regarding judicial practice, particularly the hearing
• Medical aspects (psychiatric clinical pictures, geriatrics, palliative medicine)
• Placement in a psychiatric institution, similar measures, coercive medical treatment
• Co-operation with carers, procedural guardians, associations and authorities
• Precautionary power of attorney and living will
• New legal regulations.
