The seminar addresses judges from all branches of jurisdictions and public prosecutors.
The seminar language is French. The participants should thus have a decent general knowledge of this language.
The seminar aims at procuring basic knowledge on the terminology and on the system of French law. The basics of French civil law, criminal law and public law will be presented. The visit of a court heraring in Metz will provide an insight in the French court practice. Exercises and discussions will enhance the participants’ communication capacities in French.
The course is organized in co-operation with the Law Faculty of Trier University. The lecturers are legal professionals with various backgrounds and native speakers.
