Tasks of Participatory Bodies for Judges and Public Prosecutors

This conference is aimed at judges and public prosecutors who are members of participatory bodies or are interested in working in such bodies.
It covers the following issues, among others:

• the participatory bodies (judicial councils / public prosecutors’ councils, including the different levels of representation)
• The executive committee as a self-governing body
• The Judicial Appointments Commission
• Cooperation of judicial and / or public prosecutors’ councils with staff councils (on issues of common interest)
• Employees‘ participation from the vantage point of senior management
• Schemes of independent (self-governed, autonomous) judicial systems and participation of employees in these schemes.

In addition, problems related to equal rights or equal treatment, e-justice, IT law, and data protection will also be discussed, in each case with special emphasis on the issue of staff participation.
The conference will also provide the opportunity for a structured exchange of experience on the practical work of members of judicial and public prosecutors’ councils.
