The seminar addresses judges in charge of family law cases. In the seminar, the basic principles conveyed by the introductory seminar "Basis Principals of Marital and Family Law" are to be further explored. The prior participation in the aforementioned introductory seminar is not a prerequisite.
The following topics will be discussed in the seminar:

• case law of the Federal Constitutional Court in child custody cases/family law matters
• adoption as a child
• legal aid in family court proceedings
• property law disputes among spouses outside the law of matrimonial property – miscellaneous claims before the family court
• basic principles of international family law
• problematic custodial and visitation right disputes from a psychological point of view
• psychological aspects of court hearings involving children and adolescents
• supply balancing
