The latest developments concerning the Second Book of the German Social Code (SGB II)

theme No.: 33d
responsible federal state: Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
date: 23.10.2023 - 27.10.2023

The conference is aimed at social welfare court judges.
Case law relating to the social welfare courts concerning the Second Book of the German Social Code (SGB II) is becoming increasingly multifaceted, more detailed and thus also increasingly confusing from year to year. Although many issues have meanwhile been clarified by the Federal Social Court (BSG), the question of how to deal with the dispensation of justice by the supreme court frequently arises for the appellate courts. This matter is exacerbated by the fact that the legal situation has repeatedly changed and continues to do so. As a result thereof, new problems consistently become acute.
This seminar focuses on the current developments in the Second Book of the German Social Code (SGB II), which do not only include the latest adjudications but also the experience in practical applications to date and current changes in the law. In doing so, the purpose of the seminar is also to examine the complex of problems associated with expedited procedures before the social welfare courts.
Finally, despite this wide range of subjects to be addressed, participants should also be afforded sufficient opportunity during the conference to engage in discussions on this topical complex of problems.
