The conference is aimed at judges from social courts of all instances.
Social law has gained renewed attention recently, in Europe as elsewhere. For the coming years, the new EU Commission is planning, in implementation of the “European Pillar of Social Rights”, several different measures that will also be of significance for German social (security) law. The conference’s aim will be to provide judges at social courts with an overview of relevant sources of law and of the influence of its application within domestic law. Further to this, current issues and developments in social policy on a European level will be discussed.

The conference will also be advertised as part of the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN). It will be also be suited very well to the needs of participants from abroad.
