Online seminar - The innovations due to the reform of the care law

The online seminar is aimed at judges who work in a care department or will soon take over such a department.
The reform of the care law is the biggest reform since its existence. The reform provides for a comprehensive restructuring of the care law and will come into force on January 1, 2023. The content of the event is to explain to the judges the key points of the innovations of the reform.
The main focus will be on the following innovations:

• the statutory spousal representation law
• the changes regarding the appointment of honorary caregivers and control authority
• the newly introduced instrument of extended support and its effects on judicial practice
• the introduction of a licensing procedure for professional caregivers and its effects on judicial practice
• better observance of the priority of the wishes of the person being cared for
• strengthening the principle of necessity
• changes in procedural law
• changes in the interaction between the court, the care authority and the caregiver.
