This experience report will look into a large number of criminal trial-related problems that occurred in the proceeding, e.g.:
- Organization and trial management
- Confrontational defense strategy
- International legal assistance in the investigation procedure
- Problems associated with the corona pandemic with a view to the administration of justice
- Overwhelming procedural subject matter
- Managing the access to records with new investigational results coming in continuously
- Absence of an associate judge
- VI – video interrogations
- Threats to public prosecutors and other persons involved in the proceedings
- Presentation of evidence regarding insight based on phone calls held in a foreign language
- Collection of thousands of confiscated items of looted property.
