The conference is aimed at criminal and family judges, as well as public prosecutors. The following topics, in particular, are to be dealt with in presentations and discussions:

• Emergence of domestic violence
• Offence of homicide against women
• Reaction of family courts to violence in the family under particular consideration of the “Gewaltschutzgesetz” [Act for the Protection Against Violence]
• Tasks and problems of the youth welfare office in family conflicts
• Possibility of an early warning system and corresponding networking
• Victims of violent crime and criminal proceedings
• Criminal capacity and prospects for treatment in sexual and violent offenders
• Credibility evaluations in cases of suspected sexual abuse
• Video examination of child victims of violent crime.

This conference is also offered within the framework of the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN). It is particularly suited to participants from abroad.
