This conference is intended for family court judges who already work in a family division. It will inform on recent developments, providing the participants with an up-to-date overview.

• maintenance law (focus on child and spousal maintenance)
• the law governing compensatory distribution of pension rights acquired by married couples (current case law of the German Federal Court of Justice [BGH])
• matrimonial property regime (statutory and secondary regimes)
• parentage and adoption law
• law of parents and child including psychological aspects
