Proliferation of WMDs – Control of Weapons of War and International Trade

The conference is aimed at judges from courts dealing with matters of economic crime and the criminal chambers of Higher Regional Courts, as well as for public prosecutors working for specialist public prosecution offices and those of the Office of the Public Prosecutor General. Furthermore, the conference will be of interest to judges from administrative courts, members of chambers for commercial matters, and representatives of specialist courts whose work pertains to international trade.
It will look at the material basis of the criminal law regulating international trade, specifically regarding the background of the planned Armaments Export Act (Rüstungsexportgesetz). Another focus of the conference will be on exploring current developments in combatting proliferation (of weapons of mass destruction) in both a practical and legal sense.

The conference will also be advertised as part of the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN). It will be very well suited to the needs of participants from abroad.
