Current problems in the law on civil servants and civil service disciplinary law

theme No.: 9c
responsible federal state: Federal Government
date: 06.03.2023 - 10.03.2023

The conference is aimed at judges from administrative courts of all instances.
The law pertaining to tenured civil service staff is an area of law in a constant state of change: new questions arise all the time in proceedings on civil servants’ workplace reviews and in proceedings concerning the outcome of civil service competitions. Similar questions arise in relation to health and fitness criteria, what happens in the event that civil servants are unable to carry out their duties and the payment of appropriate salaries for each grade, the law governing provision of pensions and health care to tenured staff, to name but a few examples. Disciplinary law relating to civil servants is also included.
It aims to give participants from courts of all instances with an interest in this area of the law the opportunity to exchange notes, with the broadest possible spectrum of current issues being discussed.
