The seminar is aimed at judges of social courts.
Social court cases, in which the parties dispute about the occupation classification as self-employed or the self-employment itself and the amount of earned income need to be clarified as connecting factors for payment of benefits according to the German Social Security Code II or the contribution rate, are often characterized by high complexities in legal and actual regards.
The seminar helps transferring knowledge and exchanging experiences in handling such cases. It is divided into the sections:
  • Self-employed activity (inter alia, term, status determination proceedings, company audits, individual questions)
  • The self-employed person in the benefit system (insurance obligation, contributions, benefits)
  • Income determination for self-employed persons according to the German Social Security Code II
  • (New) forms of self-employment and insurance obligation
